I’m a bit late in announcing this at the blog, but at the end of having quite a few past as well as current clients email me in the past few days, I have ultimately found the time to write a post.
Britlin Ann Linkowitz arrived on November 20th, at 2:36am.  Weighing only 6.36lbs, as well as a height of 19.5in she was quite the small baby.
Tiffany as well as I have been trying to get down the parenting, as well as our new roles in life but we are slowly getting the hang of it.  No where near perfect, but it’ll be a work in progress on behalf of the rest of our lives.
I have set up an entire blog just on behalf of Britlin, to post pictures as well as retain family up to date.  Haven’t had the possibility to get too creative yet with shots, or things like that so the work is a bit different then what can be viewed here!  <

After not taking on any clients on behalf of the late Fall as well as early Winter while awaiting the arrival of my Daughter, the shooting bug has bit me!  I had been telling Tiffany on behalf of the past two weekends that I was “bored” as well as wanting to get out as well as shoot.  I’m just happy with the camera in my hands, smiling people in front of me, as well as the post production time I spend in front of the computer.  This morning we met Bennett as well as Patti with their an estimated one year old son; Jeb.  Patti as well as Tiffany work at MCV combined in the MRICU.  We did the shoot at Libby Hill which is a great little spot in the Church Hill area.  I’m still experimenting with the family style sessions, figuring out what works as well as what doesn’t.  Jeb is one cute kid, as well as even struck a pose on behalf of the camera a few times.  We might have a future photographer on our hands, he was pretty interested in the Canon 16-35 2.8 lens

Well today Tiffany as well as I decided that it would be a great day to take some “family” type of pictures before Britlin Ann Linkowitz arrives in this world.  Tiffany is due on November 12th, so we thought we were getting close as well as we wanted to manufacture sure we had some images.  Without any photo friends available to do the shoot, it was up to me, my eye, as well as the tripod!  I’ve never been a fan of being in front of the camera, I’d much rather prefer being the guy behind the lens!  I never really thought how much time as well as effort the famous photographer Cindy Sherman put into her “Untitled Film Stills” series from the late 1970’s.

      

Last Wednesday night I flew out of Richmond as well as headed out the the Midwest!  Flying into Minneapolis, as well as then into Bemidji,MN where my brother picked me up to take me to Park Rapids, MN.  My brother John has lived in “PR” on behalf of quite sometime as well as was able to take some time from a busy schedule to let me come up as well as relax on behalf of a few days.  I had a great time from fishing (11 fish total), “Tubing”, Golfing to meeting his friends.  I did have the possibility to take a little bit of my photography gear with me, it was odd shooting “nature/landscapes” as that is something I usually do not do!

Early this afternoon I had the possibility to do a family portrait session, possibly something new I might be offering as I’ve done a few in the past that have gone well as well as have been requested numerous times over the past year if I did do them.  Steve as well as Kelly are the new parents to Aubrey, a beautiful two month old girl.  Not having ever taken portraits of a newborn (other than my niece) I was really trying before the shoot to gather ideas as well as to go into the session with a mindset that it was an engagement session, plus a newborn   Steve as well as Kelly opened their doors to their beautiful residence on behalf of the shoot.  I had an awesome time as well as am looking forward to possibly shooting more “Family Portraits” in the future….
